I have gone back to work and still trying to figure out how to juggle everything. Working, taking care of my Mom, running my business and trying to keep up with my blogs became a little too much. But since I have been missing my blog decided it’s time to figure out how to get it all done.
Recently I have been trying to crochet more ready to ship items (RTS).
One of the first items I decided to put in the store was this adorable little monkey. As you can see I am still working on my photos. I have finally been able to purchase a new camera (one of the advantages of going back to work). Hopefully you will notice improvement in my images as we move forward with the blog.
Also I had the opportunity to purchase a life size doll to display my baby items on for pictures. This should give everyone a better idea of how these really look. The picture to the let is a mohawk hat that was requested from a Carolina Panther’s fan. I loved it so much once I designed it I have added it to the shop. Also have made it in orange and black for the RTS section of my shop. It can be requested in any team’s colors and if it looks like the RTS ones sell well I will add more teams to the shop. This picture was taken with the new camera and I think it shows an amazing difference between the picture of the hat and the picture of the monkey.
Will be adding at least two posts a week from now on and hope to start adding a pattern or recipe every week or so. Have a good week everyone!
So I have been hearing alot about these detox drinks so I got curious. I’m not sure yet whether it will help with skin or weight, but I love drinking it. Was actually surprised by that because I am not big on mint in drinks. This recipe is supposed to flatten your tummy. I’ll let you know!
2 cups of water
1 medium cucumber
10-12 mint leaves
Steep overnight in fridge, I remove the fruit if I
don’t drink it all that day.
Well it’s been a few weeks and I can tell you this stuff is great! Losing weight and makes me feel great. The one problem I did have in the beginning was it depleted my sodium, so I had to add a little more salt to my diet.
1/3 bar Fels Naptha Soap
½ cup washing soda
½ cup borax powder
approx 12 drops of lavender essential oil (or your choice of essential oil)
6 cups of water
4 cups of Hot water
1 gallon plus 6 cups of water
You will also need a small bucket, about 2 gallon size
Grate the soap and put it in a sauce pan. Add 6 cups water and heat it until the soap melts. Add the washing soda and the borax and stir until it is dissolved. Remove from heat. Pour 4 cups hot water into the bucket. Now add your soap mixture and stir. Now add 1 gallon plus 6 cups of water and stir. Add the 12 drops of lavender oil.
Let the soap sit for about 24 hours and it will gel.
